It looks like console splitscreen may be coming to Fortnite on Xbox and PlayStation, if a leak is to be believed.
The next update, v11.30, is set to arrive Thursday (tomorrow) and is said to bring this feature to the game. This is supported by a leaked support page image discussing how to use the splitscreen feature on console. That support page has now been taken down, but not before a screenshot was grabbed.
According to the support page, the splitscreen feature is only applicable to the Xbox One and PS4 consoles, and not any other platforms. Additionally, the feature is not supported in the following modes:
- Creative
- LTMs
- Save the World
- Solos
Finally, cross-play will be disabled when splitscreen is running, as will player shared inventory. The update goes live tomorrow, so we’ll have to wait and see if splitscreen is indeed confirmed for the patch.
