Epic Cracks Its Knuckles Ready to Fight As It Takes Two Players to Court for Cheating - MMORPG.com

Epic is not taking any guff from players and cheat providers in Fortnite: Battle Royale. In new documents filed recently, Epic is suing two players named "Vraspir" and "Broom" for infringing on the company's copyright due to changes made to the game's code, placing them in violation of the Terms of Service. According to the documents, one of the pair has been banned nine times. Both players are associated with a site that provides access to cheats.

Because both defendants are residents of the United States, Epic can pursue legal action against them personally. Think of it as an end-round effort to strike at the site both are currently associated with.

Epic made clear that the company would aggressively pursue players who chat in Battle Royale and banned thousands of players in the first sweep launched last week. From our recent story:

"Let's be straight for a second, nobody likes playing with cheaters. Not you, not me. Nobody." So starts the latest Fortnite blog that announces that thousands of accounts have been banned from the Battle Royale mode and "we have no plans to stop". Epic says that addressing cheaters is the highest priority at Epic.

Epic also stated that they will be "constantly working against both the cheaters themselves and the cheat providers". They were not mincing words.
