Even though E3 2023 is no longer happening, it certainly doesn't feel like it as Summer Game Fest fills the void. Here is a breakdown of the Summer Game Fest and the surrounding Not-E3 conferences happening this week in Los Angeles.

The highlight of gamers each summer, the developer press conferences, are still mostly going forward this year. While we won't have a Nintendo Direct and Sony has already shown what it has coming down the pipeline, we'll see if Microsoft can pick up some momentum with its Xbox and Bethesda Showcase. Ubisoft will be hosting its normal Ubisoft Forward press conference, where we're likely going to see Assassin's Creed Mirage, among other titles. Capcom just announced that they too will be getting into the press conference fray with a show of its own right on the heels of its successful launch of Street Fighter 6.

Summer Game Fest 2023 Lineup

Geoff Keighley's Summer Game Fest is the center of it all, though, taking the place of what would have been E3 2023 this year. The showcase will see myriad game trailers, from world premieres to chatting with developers themselves about the games they have coming down the pipeline. Over forty different publishers will be there, including Black Desert's Pearl Abyss, Magic the Gathering, Amazon Games and more.

Here is the full Schedule breakdown of both the press conferences as well as Summer Game Fest proper:

Xbox Bethesda Games Showcase 2023

Microsoft is hosting its dual event this year, taking Sunday morning and cramming it full of games for Xbox fans to look forward to in the future. Off the heels of the disappointing release of Redfall, it's going to be interesting to see how Microsoft can pivot Xbox's outlook right now to something that feels a bit brighter. Hopefully, we'll see not just games coming out in the next few years, but more about games players can get their hands on this year, including Forza and others.

Certainly talking about Starfield helps too.

The whole affair should last about two hours, with a dedicated showcase solely for Bethesda Games Studios' upcoming new IP, Starfield, which launches this fall.

PC Gaming Show - 1pm PT / 4pm ET June 11th

Following the Xbox goodness, PC Gamers can strap in for a look at some of the best PC titles coming to the platform. 2023's show this year will feature at least 55 different games, including some world premieres. PC Gamer has confirmed we'll see new information about Baldur's Gate 3 as well as the upcoming survival MMO Dune Awakening.

"If there's a game you're eager to hear more about, there's a good chance you'll see it at the show. We're talking appearances from Baldur's Gate 3, Frostpunk 2, Dune: Awakening, a brand-new game from Klei, and—hang on, let me do the math—51 other games, a significant chunk of which will be completely new reveals," the publication says.

Ubisoft Forward - 10am PT / 1pm ET June 12th

Starting off Monday, Ubisoft is bringing back its in-person event to Los Angeles. Ubisoft Forward will highlight what the publisher has on deck for gamers both in the near future and down the road, including a look at Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora and the next entry in The Crew series.

We also know that we'll be seeing Assassin's Creed Mirage at the Ubisoft Forward, which was recently given an October 12th release date.

Capcom Showcase - 3pm PT / 6pm ET June 12th

Just announced today, Capcom's showcase will be taking place on Monday, June 12th. While there aren't any real details on what will be shown, we do know that the stream will be just over thirty minutes long and will feature news and updates on Capcom's games. However, Capcom is promising more details closer to the event itself as far as the lineup of games on offer.

There will also be a pre-show that starts at 2:30 PT / 5:30 ET for those who want to tuck in early. Hopefully some more details on Dragon's Dogma 2?

Xbox Games Showcase Extended - 10am PT / 1pm Et June 13th

Coming into Tuesday, Xbox will be focusing on giving an extended look at the games and developers showcased during its main stage show that past Sunday. The Xbox Games Showcase Extended follows the tradition of the company of pulling the veil back a bit more and talking with developers in in-depth interviews and more that couldn't be added to the main showcase.

UploadVR Showcase - 11am PT / 2pm ET June 14th

The showcase schedule is winding down, with UploadVR taking the sole spot on Wednesday, June 14th. This showcase looks to highlight VR titles (as you might expect with the publication's focus on VR), highlighting new reveals and more. Maybe a new VR MMO could be in the running?

RGG Studio Summit Summer 2023 - 8pm PT / 11pm ET June 15th

Rounding out the entire schedule is the Ryu Ga Gotoku (RGG) Studio Summit Showcase, from the makers of the wildly popular Yakuza/Like A Dragon series. We don't know anything else about what will be shown at this showcase, but as someone who loves these games, I'm pretty eager to see what the studio is highlighting next week.
