Imoogi, the tenth boss in the Land of the Morning Light expansion for Black Desert Console, is coming soon to the MMORPG. Black Desert Console celebrates the serpent boss, as well as the other bosses in the expansion in our exclusive first look at the trailer.

The Land of the Morning Light takes players to a new region in Black Desert Console, steeped in the history and folklore of Joseon-era Korea. The Imoogi is another boss inspired by Korean folklore, joining the ranks of the various bosses in the Black Shrine boss blitz mode alongside creatures such as the Dokkaebi king Duoksini, or the wraith Songakshi.

The MMO's most recent expansion has garnered praise from critics and players alike, with many praising its improvements in storytelling compared to previous expansions. The Joseon-era inspirations also brought much praise, it being my personal favorite aspect of The Land of the Morning Light. Exploring the region that is inspired by the Korean peninsula, people, and its history is a delight. It truly feels like a love letter from Pearl Abyss to Korea itself.

Imoogi's update, which comes soon to the console version of the MMORPG, brings yet another challenge for players to tackle in their adventure. The trailer highlights the beauty of the region, as well as the various bosses you'll fight as you explore, including the impressive Imoogi, whose boss mechanics differ greatly from the other bosses, by forcing players to focus not just on the fight itself, but also an Altar on the battlefield.

The Land of the Morning Light was released on PlayStation and Xbox consoles on July 26th. Check out our review of the expansion here.
