If you're not up on your trading card games at the moment, Ravensburger recently entered the realm with a major IP up its sleeve: Disney Lorcana is here, and despite major inventory issues with the first set – aptly named The First Chapter – the game is slowly gaining steam as stores get restocked.
However, while fans wait for restocks of the first set, the second full set, Rise Of The Floodborn, is merely a week away. This new set adds 200 more cards to the game, with characters and actions themed around classic animated films like Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs, Pinocchio, and The Jungle Book, as well as newer films like Raya and the Last Dragon and Zootopia.
Thanks to Ravensburger, we have an exclusive look at a brand-new card from Rise Of The Floodborn, and it's time for her to let down her hair. Say hello to Rapunzel, Sunshine!

After Rapunzel, Gifted With Healing made a major impact in Lorcana's first competitive meta, Rise Of The Floodborn introduces a smaller, yet still powerful, version. While there's no card draw here with Rapunzel, Sunshine, you can heal 2 damage every turn as opposed to just when the card comes into play.
That once-per-turn healing ability, combined with her high Willpower, makes us think she's going to be a very popular early-game play for Amber decks. It's reasonable to think that, if this card is summoned turn two, it's going to heal at least two damage before it's ever in danger. Did your Stitch, New Dog get chipped for one damage while questing? Rapunzel can help with that, which will buy you time until you can drop Stitch, Rock Star thanks to Shift.
However, it will be best paired with the other new Rapunzel in this set, Rapunzel, Gifted Artist. Not only is Sunshine a clear Shift target for Gifted Artist, but in some cases the two could be played together and recreate Gifted With Healing's power for multiple turns.
Disney Lorcana: Rise Of The Floodborn launches November 17 in local game stores and December 1 in big box retailers.
