UTV True Games devs have announced that three-month old Faxion Online is shutting down. Beginning this week, players will not be able to purchase items from the in-game store and the servers will go dark in approximately thirty days.
Massively is reporting on a rumor originating over at the official Faxion Online forums that has led some to believe that the entire Faxion Online team has been laid off.

The Faxion Online team has released the latest patch for the game currently in its open beta phase of development. The patch contains significant upgrades to several features including the UI, the Faxion bar, the addition of the Sin Nexus Park and more. Because of the major overhaul of some features, every player has been gifted a free character respec.
UTV True Games has announced that Faxion Online will enter open beta beginning Thursday, March 10th. All servers will undergo a wipe in preparation for the open beta. UTV True Games has announced that the second closed beta event for Faxion Online has started. Players who participated in the first closed beta have been invited back and new players have been added to the second CBT. Players will find new content, features, bug fixes, and balancing that was addressed based on feedback from the community.
The Faxion Online team has provided fans and beta testers new information about the 'visceral' combat system. During combat, color coded bars appear above the character being attacked that indicate what type of attack is being prepared. Iconic clues are also provided that show debuffs and other applied effects.
