Fallout 76 Devs Address B.E.T.A. Feedback with Update Plans Detailed
The Fallout 76 Reddit has been updated with a post to thank B.E.T.A. players for their feedback and to provide a look at things that will be "addressed on or close to launch" and what is tabled until after the November 14th release date. Most notably, ultra-wide support will be available post-launch, an increased stash will be added in the future, exploits will be closed in a future update and more.
One of the biggest complaints from the PC crowd was the "always on" chat without an option for "push-to-talk". The team balked at first about adding a push-to-talk option, but have since backtracked. Developers wrote:
While we aim to create a consistent experience no matter what platform you’re on, we understand that some of you on PC would like the option for Push-to-Talk. Our goal with voice chat being on by default is to highlight that the world is alive with real people, other players like you. We like to start with encouraging player interaction and will be adding this in the near future.
Another major concern for many PC players has been the FOV slider. Previous games have not supported FOV sliders "as it is known to break a lot of animations and causes a lot of clipping to occur on screen," developers wrote. PC players will be able to scroll out to third person view, but it won't be available for first person view.
Other topics included in the "to-do" list include:
- issues with social menu and inviting friends / making teams
- hunger not being sated
- loud gunshot / noises
