Fallout 76 Articles
The Fallout 76 forum has been updated with a brief post about the start of the first round of closed beta testing. According to the post, the first round of beta testers will be selected beginning in October. Anyone who pre-orders the game will be eligible for selection and, while the first event will be a small scale beta, the plan is to ramp up the number of players as FO76 heads to launch.
When Bethesda introduced Fallout 76 to the world at this year's E3, the trailer featured a cover of John Denver's 1971 hit, "Take Me Home, Country Roads". Bethesda is now offering the song to fans via iTunes for $1 with 100% of proceeds going to Habitat for Humanity.
According to Bethesda's Todd Howard, the company would love to feature true cross platform gameplay in Fallout 76. "You cannot do crossplay in 76. We'd really love that (crossplay) but right now we can't. Sony is not as helpful as everyone would like." Howard told German site GameStar.de.
The Fallout 76 site has been updated with a handy-dandy FAQ that provides a few nuggets of information about the forthcoming beta. Players who pre-order the game will be the only ones eligible for the beta. While beta opportunities will be available for PC, PlayStation 4 and XBox One, it is the latter that will gain access to the beta ahead of the other two.
During the #BE3 press event, Bethesda's Todd Howard took the stage to show off Fallout 76, the epic new RPG set just a decade after the bombs fell in the wildnerness of a wasted West Virginia. And yes, it's an MMO like ESO! Coming out November 14th, 2018!
