World Events & Faction Territory Control Detailed -

A new Fallen Earth blog has cropped up that reveals new information about the upcoming World Events and Faction Territory Control features.

World Events are categorized into three basic types: Node, Attack and Effect. Node events can be launched anywhere, in any random location. Attack events spawn critters attacking a specific point on the map with increasing waves of monsters. Effect events spawn some sort of effect on all players, some players, NPCs, etc. For instance, the blog discusses how an effect might be spawned on an NPC in a quest hub that raises the prices on goods for sale.

The more complex World Event system is divided into five goals that players must complete in order to be fully rewarded. According to the team, these are very complex missions and, as yet, there are few in the game.

Territory Control allows factions to face off to gain control of thirteen control points and/or Keeps which can be upgraded by the faction controlling it. Controlling all thirteen points and maintaining a Keep will result in a "nice buff" for the entire faction.
