The developers over at Face of Mankind have announced that the game, which launches on Monday, March 27th, will be shutting down their servers in preparation for the big day. They are reminding players that there will be a complete wipe, and everyone will be starting anew.

Dear Community,

the time has come, Face of Mankind will be released Monday, the 27th of March, 2006. We are very happy to announce this step into a new generation of massive multiplayer games.

The game servers will be shut down tomorrow, the 23rd of March, for maintenance and to prepare the launch. Once the system is up and running again on Monday, you will be able to subscribe and enter the worlds of Face of Mankind.

The monthly fee will be 9.99EUR (~12 USD). This can be paid worldwide by credit card. Ojom will also offer the option to pay the subscription fee by mobile phone or direct debit, although these services can not be guaranteed to be available for launch. We are working on increasing the numbers of countries where these options will be available.

There will be a complete wipe, so everyone will get a fair chance right from the start.

We would like to thank all beta testers for their efforts and patience during the last year, and hope to see many of you on Monday.

Regards,

Daniel "Smoker" Weiffen
