The venerable original EverQuest will be subject to server merges beginning June 22nd and rolling through July 6th, according to an announcement released by Sony Online Entertainment on the official EverQuest forums.

The servers affected can be found below:

  • Stromm and Luclin merge can become Stromm - Luclin
  • Drinal and Maelin Starpyre merge and become Maelin Starpyre - Drinal
  • Xegony and Druzzil Ro merge and become Druzzil Ro - Xegony
  • The Tribunal and Bristlebane merge and become Bristlebane - The Tribunal
  • Fenrin Ro and Cazic Thule merge and become Cazic Thule - Fenrin Ro

Oddly enough, SOE will also be launching a new server in the coming months and they plan on tapping the EverQuest community in the future for name ideas.

Players will be able to transfer their characters to a different server free of charge for a full seven days after their character has been moved to a new server due to the merges, and SOE will also be offering reduced prices on a number of Marketplace items during the transition period between June 22 and July 6.
