Everquest players are introduced to a new community manager via a letter posted to EQ Station. Eric "Piestro" Cleaver has announced himself as the new CM and as a longtime Everquest player. The letter goes into a bit of detail about what exactly he plans to bring to the EQ community.
I probably should also explain a little bit more about what a Community Manager does for those of your who are unsure. One of my most important responsibilities is to help build the relationship between the Development Team and you, the player community. Whether it's explaining to the Development Team what the needs of the players are or explaining to the players exactly how and why things work the way that they do, it's my job to facilitate communication and make sure that everyone is fully informed! One of my favorite tasks is working on new and exciting ways for the Development Team to communicate directly with the players through chats or blogs.
