A graphic engine upgrade for Everquest is being planned. It's release is anticipated in the next month or two. At the time it's unknown if the new engine will enhance graphics with new character models and higher resolution textures, but we will definitely keep you informed if we find anything out! Sony Online Entertainment has mentioned that a small amount of Everquest players (roughly less then 1%) do not have video cards compatible with Directx 9.0 (which the new version will use). Because of this Sony Online Entertainment has teemed up with a retailer to provide great savings on Nvidia graphics cards. Through the Everquest page, you can save incredible deals upgrading your video card (roughly $50-$70 in savings!).
