10th Anniversary Celebration - Heroes' Festival Returns -

It's already been ten years since EverQuest II launched and SOE is commemorating the milestone by bringing back Heroes Festival, this time with a host of fun new activities and rewards. Heroes Festival starts November 7 and runs until NOvember 17.

Included in the Fest are:

  • Iconic EQII bosses (Darathar, the Djinn Master, Trakanon, Roehn Theer and Baelon) roaming around in patchwork form
  • Patchwork bosses drop new currency - Mischeva's Tribute - used to purchase special items, including level 10, 20, 50, 70 and 95 gear
In addition to participating in the fun in-game activities, SOE is also encouraging players to share their stories and memories of the game on the forums as they look back at EQII's accomplishments, among them:
  • Christopher Lee and Heather Graham lent their voices to the game's inaugural launch trailer.
  • EQII introduced the first robust Housing and Crafting system ever to grace an MMO.
  • Emmy-award winning composer Laura Karpman composed the game's original score.
  • More than 1,000 voice actors, including Wil Wheaton and Minnie Driver, have brought life to the many characters of EverQuest II.
  • Back in 2005, a simple, first ever in-game command ("/pizza") allowed the denizens of EQII to order pizza directly from the game.
