Not E3 2022: PC Gaming Show 2022 Live Blog

It's extremely fitting that the ending game fo the PC Gaming Show is a mod for a PC Games VR exclusive. Nothing, I feel, perfectly encapsulates PC gaming: modders making awesome games.

Anyway, here is 7 minutes of uncut footage for Half-Life Alyx: Levitation.

Multiplayer survival title, Icarus, revealed a free DLC map pack that is out now for all players. Styx brings a new major map to the play area, creatures, missions and much more.

Dave Oshry was back, getting interrupted again (this time by Steam Deck and not GabeN himself). But FINALLY we saw the Gloomwood trailer that PC Gamer forgot to show years ago.

Seriously, Dave Oshry is one of the only reasons to keep watching the PC Gaming Show each year.

Victoria 3, the upcoming anticipated grand strategy game from Paradox Interactive, showed off its first look at gameplay today in a new trailer. 

Frozen Flame launches into early access later this year. A new demo, as well as trailer was released today. Check it out here.

Free-to-play RTS from ex-Blizzard devs, Stormgate, showed off its "classic real-time-strategy" game that brings co-op campaign, PvP and much more. According to an interview with Day9 at the PC Gaming Show, Tim Morten from Frost Giant Studios talked about the RTS and how his studio is looking to make genre more social with new modes meant to help bring in RTS newbies. It's also looking to put tournaments and esports directly in client to help support both major tournaments, as well as more grassroots efforts.

Also, it's on Unreal Engine 5, and it looks really, really good (even the cinematic trailer was built in Unreal Engine).

Ion Lands' Nivalis brings city sims to a Cyberpunk world. Players will start with a noodle stand and build out from there, helping to lay down the foundations of a massive Cyberpunk city. 

Horror game Scorn got a new trailer as well, showing off some pretty gory and unsettling visuals in its new gameplay trailer. Scorn is set to release in October 2022.

Warhammer 40K: Space Marine 2 is shaping up well, with the follow-up to the iconic third person shooter getting a new gameplay trailer. 

A new battle royale, Super People, with developer Wonder People hoping to bring a fresh, different direction to the BR space. Combining guns and super powers (not that fresh, Spellbreak brought magic to the Battle Royale a while back), Super People aims to shake up the genre. A beta is coming in August.

System Shock is coming back with creator Warren Specter coming back to helm the reimagining of the title. The new trailer shows off what makes System Shock so enduring: a mix of Cyberpunk-ish future with horror, action and much more.

Shiro Games showed off a few of its titles in the works, including Dune: Spice Wars. Check out the full trailer below.

Arma 4 was talked a bit about during the PC Gaming Show with developer Bohemia Interactive. The interview talked about the newly released Arma Reforger, as well talking a bit about Arma 4. 

Trippy sci-fi strategy title The Alters showed off a cinematic trailer, highlighting the main character, Jan Dolski, who is the sole survivor of mission to find a rare element named Rapidum. In order to survive, Jan uses the Rapidum to make alternate versions of himself - Alters - that are fully Jan, but have made different decisions in their lives up to that point, creating a Jans with their own traits, skills and more.

Deceive, Inc brings spy vs spy multiplayer combat in a new arena shooter filled with gadgets, subterfuge, and more. You'll work to secure your objective, all the while dealing with rival spies hell bent on stopping you and taking it for themselves. The upcoming game is looking to release on Steam and Epic next year, as well as consoles. 

Shown off earlier at the Xbox + Bethesda showcase, and again here at the PC Gaming Show, Flintlock: The Seige of Dawn's mix of guns and magic gave a glimpse into the gameplay players will expect when checking out the upcoming action RPG game. 

 

Chivalry 2 is now on Steam with cross play with the Epic Game Store. The new Tenosian Invasion also brings with it mounts, new maps and much more.

The Invincible showed off an extensive gameplay look at its sci-fi exploration title today during the PC Gaming Show. The exploration game by Sarward Industries, follows the story by Polish author Stanislaw Lem, seeing players explore a barren planet full of robots hell-bent on taking you out.

Coming in 2023.

Soulstice, an upcoming dark fantasy action title is coming to PC (and consoles) on September 20th, 2022. Players take the role of two sisters who have been reborn as a Chimera, hybrid warriors who can save humankind.
