Prominent EVE Online Player Leaves CSM, CCP Lays Out Schedule For EVE Vegas

By Joseph Bradford on October 15, 2019 | News | 0

It's been a busy few days for EVE Online developer, CCP Games. As the studio prepares for the next leg in its year long EVE Invasion World Tour, a prominent member of the game's player-elected Council of Stellar Management has resigned

Killah Bee, a popular figure in New Eden, has resigned his position from the Council of Stellar Management, effectively immediately per a post on the EVE Online website. Killah Bee has served on both CSM 13 and now 14, but per a statement by the player his personal life has taken off and he needs to keep his focus there.

"In the past, I’ve always said that the CSM can only be effective if its members are some of the most active members of the community. I’ve had some great success in real life lately but with that success goes the time that I am able to devote into EVE and the CSM. This is why I have decided to resign my membership to the CSM effective immediately to make room for someone with more time on their hands. I want to thank CCP and all the other CSM members for a great time I’ve had and I’ll see you again soon."

The player taking his place was one eliminated in the voting earlier this year, but is a familiar face to EVE veterans: Sort Dragon. A CSM veteran, serving on CSM 8, 10 and 13, Sort steps into Killah Bees place to finish out the CSM 14 term.

In other news, EVE Online is invading Las Vegas, descending upon the Flamingo Hotel and Casino this year with its seventh stop in the EVE Invasion World Tour. To that end, CCP games has released a full stream schedule for those who are unable to make the gathering in person this year, starting with a keynote on October 25th at 3PM PDT/10pm UTC. Over the weekend multiple panels are planned, such as the EVE Friendship Machine with CCP Ghost, as well as a panel on the Past, Present and Future of DirectX 12 for the techies out there.

You can check out the full schedule on the EVE Online website. Additionally, in case you missed it, CSM 13 member Jin'Taan wrote his latest column in his EVE series, this time talking about the fun he's having in PvE.
