Well, it looks like one player in EVE Online has nabbed over $60,000 worth of items.
Going by the name Sulley, this wasn’t some easy effort. According to PC Gamer, Sulley spent a full month coordinating a “marauding marathon” which involved the destruction of 32 player-owned stations. These stations were nested in Hisec.
Many of these stations had several items of value, as is to be expected. However, it seems that on June 2, Sulley and crew hit the jackpot at a Raitaru station. This station was owned by players known as Future Tech Industries. Apparently, this led the crew to a historic loot of 4 trillion ISK worth in items. This converts to roughly $60,000.
This type of raid was possible due to some recent changes made to EVE Online by developer CCP with respect to the mechanics of player-built space stations. Hats off to Sulley and crew.
In case you missed it, CCP announced two special in-game events kicking off on June 9, called Gathering Storm and Lightning Strikes. You can read up on the details of the events here.
