EVE Online 17th Anniversary Celebrations Outlined, Iceland's President Shares Message with Players

Celebration events and more

By Poorna Shankar on May 05, 2020 | News | 0

The latest EVE Pulse discusses the 17th anniversary of EVE Online, along with providing a special message to players from the Icelandic President.

First up, Capsuleer Day Clash will run from May 7 through May 20 where you’ll be tasked with fighting against the Triglavian attack. What’s unique about this event is that battlecruiser-only event sites will open up in Lowsec, Nullsec, and even in Wormhole sections of New Eden. Rewards will be aplenty, including login rewards running from May 5 through May 19. These dates also coincide with the Capsuleer Day Celebrations.

Additionally, if you’re an Omega player, you’ll soon be able to trade PLEX pretty much anytime from anywhere thanks to a new feature for the EVE Portal companion app. You’ll be able to experience this feature some time in the next week or so if all goes according to plan.

The video also featured a special message from Icelandic President, Guðni Th. Jóhannesson, who shared a few words on the current pandemic. He discussed how the pandemic has disrupted daily lives, while offering his thoughts to those who have been deeply affected by the virus before calling for solidarity and hope. It’s an overall message of goodwill and unity in the face of adversity, while reminding us to have fun and enjoy ourselves. You can check out the entire episode below:
