EVE Echoes Releases On iOS and Android Today

NetEase Games and CCP Games have launched EVE Echoes, a moble version of the Icelandic developer's popular sandbox space-MMO, EVE OnlineEVE Echoes puts the whole of New Eden in the palm of your hand as it brings as close to the full EVE Online experience to iOS and Android devices.

EVE Echoes takes the sandbox gameplay and universe that has made EVE Online a success over the last decade-plus and brings it to the mobile market. Per a press release from CCP Games:

"EVE Echoes is a next-gen sandbox MMO game for mobile devices based on the award-winning sci-fi spacefaring MMORPG EVE Online. Featuring a vast persistent universe of over 8,000+ solar systems, players are free to choose their own path from countless options, experiencing space exploration, immense PvP and PvE battles, mining, trading, industry, and a sophisticated player economy in the multiplayer sandbox of New Eden."

NetEase and CCP are working together on the development of EVE Echoes and players in New Eden will see the team support the mobile game with updates as the months go on, including bringing larger hulls to the MMO, as well as features like Sovereignty.

We had the chance to hands on with EVE Echoes during EVE Vegas 2019, and it was pretty cool how the team at NetEase and CCP were able to take the EVE experience and make it work for the mobile market. While I got blown up by fellow journalist Brendan Drain from MassivelyOP, it was a fun experience regardless.

We're currently working on our EVE Echoes review and will have our first review in progress read by tomorrow, so definitely stay tuned.
