The Elite: Dangerous team has posted notification that the second part of the Horizons expansion will be heading to beta testing on May 8th. Called The Engineers, the second Horizons installment brings loot and crafting on line.
Through the engineers, you will be able to improve and upgrade the stats on every module of your ship, and add rare, experimental effects to your weapons for some special outcomes. We’ll be showing more of these weapons in the coming newsletters, but here’s one example of the abilities that you can implement.
In addition to the Horizons update, all players, regardless of expansion ownership, will be receiving a significant update in v1.6 that most notably brings a major overhaul to the missions system.
