Elder Scrolls Online players will have their own little slice of game heaven when the free Homestead update rolls out in February 2017. Players will be able to obtain, decorate and show off new digs throughout Tamriel in homes that reflect the races of the land. Players can own multiple homes and they will all be account-based, so all characters can visit and participate in the decoration of the home.
Homestead will include:
- 2000 items available to decorate and customize homes including trophies, crafting stations, pets, mounts, assistants and more
- all players will receive one home for free through an initial tutorial quest. Other homes can be purchased for gold or opened through zone achievements and some "ultra luxurious" real estate in the Crown Store
- homes are instanced
- fast travel via the world map will be available
- visitors can be invited over
- homes are secure -- no need to worry about the Thieves Guild
- crafted furniture can be sold to other players
