As the recent update, featuring the brand new Catacombs dungeon storyline, has hit the live servers, and coming into the holiday season and the end of the year, I thought it would be fun to go over the best houses in Wizard101! What does “best” mean? It could either be visually, what the house offers, or a mixture of both! Just a friendly reminder before we start - these are my choices, it will vary from wizard to wizard! Let’s swim our way right into the first option!

First up, we have the recently released Briny Deep Retreat! You can get this house through purchasing the new Undersea Enchantment Bundle from your local Gamestop! For starters, this underwater house is absolutely beautiful! It’s vibrant with many different colors, and has a perfect reef feel. On top of that, this house includes fishing, a daily reward, a PvP arena, and the new ability to put down fish without the need of an aquarium! If you’re on the look-out for a new water themed house in the spiral, this is the one for you.

Next up is also a semi-recent release, the Everafter Village. This one is obtainable from the Fairytime Bundle, located ??? . This one also has amazing visuals, but what makes this house special is the secret and hidden surprises awaiting you. From secret passages, to a gingerbread house, this house has many quirks and interesting designs. Along with that, this house also has gardening benefits, as the plot, much like another house to come on this list, counts as a “like” for your plants. Finally, this house also offers another daily collect item.

If you’re unable to go out and spend money on some house choices, have no fear! The last two options will be both obtainable through in-game functions, with the first one being the Celestial Observatory! So what makes this one so awesome? You can craft this house! Besides that, this house was way ahead of its time when it first came out. There is a PvP arena, and plenty of room both inside and outside to get your inner spaceland on, or whatever theme you wish to design it in. With five floors inside, you can have all sorts of fun with this observatory!

Finally, but certainly not least, let’s go over the Red Farm Barn. This house is notorious for being one of, if not, the best house for wizards. For starters, you don’t have to spend a dime of real money on this house - so that’s always a plus. Not to mention, this is the house to have if you are into gardening, as this also will also count as a like to all your plants! WIth plenty of space outside and inside to store all your collections, or style your very own country barn house - this has it all for you!
These are just some of the many options, so don’t be afraid to explore a little outside of these suggestions. There’s a house theme out there for every world, so if you wanted to rep your favorite world, there is an option for you!
