Through its great and not-so-great times, ups and downs, and numerous iterations, Lost Ark has always hallmarked itself through its raids, and for good reason. They look fantastic, are always chock full of mechanics, and are constantly testing the limits of even the most seasoned players. Most of us really got our grips through seeing videos such as "How difficult is raiding in Lost Ark?", and many of us got to experience these prolific raids first hand.

Well, this week, the Korean version of Lost Ark has finally been updated with the granddaddy of them all, Thaemine.

Here’s what we know:

  • This is supposed to be the final Legion Raid, ending a years-long series of fantastic Legion Raids that have brought new life to Lost Ark way back when.
  • Smilegate has upped the stakes significantly this time around. Typically there isn’t that much incentive for world first, but there are now vanity rewards for being the first, 2nd-3rd, and top 10 first clears. This has brought very many people back and preparing.
  • Speaking of returning players, as stated by Smilegate (and reiterated by Saintone, the number of returning players has increased by over 230%
  • Smilegate has also stated that they predict the first clear will take over a week.
  • The difficulty of Gate Three is said to be as difficult as gate six of Brelshaza before the nerfs. Remember that aforementioned video? Yeah…that…
  • Gate 4’s rewards are supposed to be more than gates 1-3 combined and is “way harder” than Brelshaza gate 6.

Quite a few teams are competing for world first this time around. I’ll personally be watching Saintone and his team, “Team Last Pull.”

This is an incredibly exciting time to be playing, especially if you haven’t in a while. With Jump Start servers right around the corner for our version of Lost Ark, allowing us to go straight to ilvl 1540, you’ll be ready for almost everything Lost Ark has to offer, and then some. Personally, I’ll be revving up my old Evolutionary Legacy Machinist, for old times sake!
