Happy Holidays From MMORPG.com

Whether you celebrate Christmas, Hanukkah, Yule or are simply just taking some much deserved time off, we wanted to wish you a Happy Holidays from the MMORPG team.

This has been a year that has been hard on everyone - whether you work front lines (Thank you!) helping those in need during the height of the pandemic, or simply write about video games on the internet. The holidays are usually that time that brings families together, and while many are still lucky enough to do so, there are many people out there who are having to spend these holidays alone. Video games, especially MMORPGs, have helped bridge the gap and bring people all over the world together in a time where we are all feeling increasingly isolated from each other.

While many as I said are able to spend time with family safely and enjoy the holidays together with some semblance of normalcy, others are turning to gaming to help bring that sense of family and community that many long for this time of year. I know I'll be checking in with my Lord of the Rings Online family as well as some corpmates in EVE tomorrow inbetween opening presents and making traditional Christmas meals for my daughter and family.

Are you planning on celebrating the holiday with your guildies, kinmates, corp members and so on? How has online gaming, especially communities in your favorite MMORPG, helped you cope with the isolation and quarantining this year? What are some of your favorite moments from gaming in 2020?

From all of us here at MMORPG, and myself personally, I hope you have a safe, fulfilling Holiday season.
