Earthlock: Festival of Magic Articles
If you've been looking at Earthlock, a new adventure RPG inspired by 90s era JRPGs, but have been wondering if it's the game for you, you're in luck. Snowcastle Games has just announced that it has released a free PC and Mac demo on Steam.
Earthlock from Snowcastle Games is an absolute nostalgic joy to play. Originally launched as "Earthlock: Festival of Magic" over a year ago, the game has undergone significant improvements with a sort of "Director's Cut" on PC and the Switch, as well as other consoles. Feeling at once both reverential for classic 16-bit JRPGs and novel due to its western stylized setting and systems, Earthlock is a grand start to an RPG trilogy, and well worth the meagre price of admission.
PlayStation 4 owners will be pleased to hear that Earthlock: Festival of Magic will be heading to the PlayStation Store beginning January 27th. Players will be able to get physical copies of the game in several regions throughout the world on that date and on February 14th in the United States.
Snowcastle Games has sent word that Earthlock: Festival of Magic is on track for physical box and PlayStation 4 release in early 2017. Earthlock is already available on XBox One and PC.
Snowcastle Games has announced that the Steam launch of Earthlock: Festival of Magic has been delayed until September 27th. After receiving a great deal of feedback from XBox One players, the team determined that there were issues that needed to be fixed prior to launch on Steam.
Earthlock: Festival of Magic is ready for launch. The XBox One version will be released on September 1st, while the Steam version will be launching ten days later in order to get a new controls patch ready to go. The team still has plans to develop PlayStation 4, Wii U and Linux versions as well.
