The Dual Universe community was recently challenged by the dev team to create the most awesome ships they could imagine and have they ever come through. The contest was held in December and devs were so pleased with what they saw that a new video has been created to showcase some of the best of the best. "What would sci-fi be without spaceships? Whether it is system-hopping frigates or nimble, planetside fighters, spacecraft give a sci-fi universe its flavor."
Players used the in-game voxel-shaping tools to create 16 to 32 meter vehicles including fighters, hovercraft and space-ready transports. The tools allow players "to create the ships of their dreams [and] they are able to build liveable structures and completely terraform planets to their liking".
Dual Universe is currently in Alpha 1 testing with Alpha 2 right around the corner and expected to launch in the first half of 2019.
