MMORPG: Dragon Nest continues to be successful among players; can you give us a state of the game?

Alden Paguia: The game is garnering a lot of excitement thanks to our new updates and we’re seeing overwhelmingly positive reactions from our players.

MMORPG: What part of the game is your favorite? What parts have the players really enjoyed?

Alden Paguia: I like playing through the storyline and watching all the cut scenes. I love the cinematic feel of the game. I also like PvP a lot, though I’m terrible at it.

Our players seem to enjoy a wide variety of Dragon Nest’s features. Everyone’s finding something they love, whether that’s the storyline, amazing artwork, or even cute pets. Of course, there are plenty of competitive players who enjoy the PvP battles.

MMORPG: How has the Community reacted to Guild vs. Guild PvP?

Alden Paguia: The community is really excited about Guild vs. Guild PvP. Players are interacting with each other more than ever and lots of people are going out of their way to help other players by hosting matches where they can practice their combos and skills. More and more guilds are appearing in the game and guild members are working hard to make their guilds stand out.

MMORPG: How did you come up with the term, Guild Rumble?

Alden Paguia: Well, I’d like to say that we spent countless hours brainstorming, but that wasn’t the case. We wanted the name to be simple and easy to understand. The PvP involves guilds and the final part of the PvP involved a mass battle, so with a little inspiration from Jackie Chan’s Rumble in the Bronx, we decided to name it Guild Rumble.

MMORPG: Give us a description of the Spirit Garden?

Alden Paguia: Sure. The map actually has a pretty interesting history. You see, the river outside of Saint’s Haven was once graced with elegant architecture and delicate gardens, crafted by these beings called spirits from ages past. However, during the Dragon Raid half a century ago, the Plague Rains fell, and the toxic blood of the dragons warped the land. Gnarled trees, half-buried ruins, and a twisted landscape are all that remain of this home of the ancient spirits. What’s even more tragic is that the spirits themselves were twisted by the Plague Rains into sinister, vengeful creatures.

MMORPG: How do the game modes work in the Spirit Garden?

Alden Paguia: Spirit Garden allows players to try the different types of PvP modes offered in Dragon Nest.

In Respawn mode, players are placed in teams and must combine their skills to defeat the opposing team. After being downed on the battlefield, players will respawn and continue the fight to victory.

Rounds mode places players in teams with one goal: Try to eliminate all members of the opposing team.

Free-For-All gives players with the taste for blood the chance to quench their thirst. In Free-For-All, players are fighting to save their own skins and rack up a mountain of kills.

Protect mode tasks teams with protecting their Captain as they attempt to defeat the opposing team’s Captain.

Domination mode will pit team against team in a battle of control. Bases are scattered throughout the map, and it’s up to the player’s team to capture each base and keep the enemy out.

MMORPG: How will guilds get involved in the PvP? Do you expect a lot of fighting?

Alden Paguia: Guild Rumble places a heavy emphasis on skill, so interested guilds will have to start training together to fine-tune their strategies if they want to take on the most experienced guilds. Towards the end of Guild Rumble, when it comes down to the best guilds fighting for the championship spot, we expect some of the best fights Dragon Nest’s PvP has ever seen.

MMORPG: What else is in store for players of Dragon Nest for 2012?

Alden Paguia: Players of Dragon Nest can look forward to more dungeons, deadly nests, more devastating skills, new costumes and items in the Dragon Vault, and much more. Head on over to the official Dragon Nest website for more details throughout the year.
