Mike Laidlaw Leaves BioWare After More Than a Decade

Mike Laidlaw is is leaving BioWare after fourteen years with the company. He had an instrumental part in the development of Jade Empire, Mass Effect and most notably in the Dragon Age series. He offers no explanation about where he's headed, though he says that he plans to "reconnect with all the amazing games and worlds that my peers have created". What this means for Dragon Age remains unknown though he expressed confidence that the world "we've created together is in good hands".


New Comic Series, Adult Coloring Book Coming in 2017

As with the announcement of Mass Effect media coming out next year, Dragon Age will also see a new comic series, Knight Errant, will be released in May 2017 with an adult coloring book coming in February 2017.


Forging the Inquisition Long Sword

Lead Writer David Gaider Announces Departure from Bioware

David Gaider, principal lead writer on the Dragon Age series and instrumental in the creation of one of the first openly gay characters in gaming, has announced his departure from Bioware after nearly two decades. Gaider started his career on the Baldur's Gate series, worked on Knights of the Old Republic all the way through the Dragon Age series.


Comic Tie-In, Magekiller, Now Available

Bioware and Dark Horse Comics have announced that the first issue in a new series of Dragon Age comics is now available for digital and physical purchase. Called Dragon Age: Magekiller, this latest series will tell a story of Tessa and Marius, mercenaries hunting those who use blood magic.


Definitive GotY Edition Announced, All DLC Included

Bioware and EA have announced that a new Dragon Age: Inquisition Definitive Game of the Year Edition will be sold that will contain the base game along with all three DLC: Descent, Jaws of Hakkon and Trespasser. The price has yet to be revealed, nor is it present on the Dragon Age site but we will keep you posted.


Trespasser DLC Live Stream at 1:00 Eastern / 10:00 Pacific

The Bioware team will be on hand for a special release day live stream event to show off the Trespasser DLC for Dragon Age: Inquisition. The event will take place on the Bioware Twitch.tv channel at 10:00 am Pacific / 1:00 pm Eastern.


Trespasser DLC Coming September 8th

EA Spain has posted a trailer for the next Dragon Age: Inquisition DLC that will be released on September 8th. Called "Trespasser", the content takes place two years after the main story, the Inquisitor is slowly being killed by the mark and the world is falling apart. The trailer has been set to private pending the live stream later this afternoon. We'll keep you posted in about five hours.


The Descent DLC Arrives

Fans of Dragon Age: Inquisition can now get their hands on the second DLC for the game. Called "The Descent", the journey will take the Inquisitor and party to the Deeproads to investigate a series of seismic events and the return of the Darkspawn. The DLC runs $14.99 and is available for all platforms.


New DLC, The Descent, Announced for August 11th

Bioware has revealed a brand new trailer for Dragon Age: Inquisition that is scheduled to be released on August 11th. Called The Descent, the DLC takes the Inquisitor and party into the Deep Roads to confront the Darkspawn.


Bioware Teasing Potential DLC?

The Dragon Age Facebook page has been updated with a new screen from Dragon Age: Inquisition and the text "We're hearing reports of Increased seismic activity around Thedas...". It is possible that a new DLC is being teased that could be announced during tomorrow's EA press conference from Gamescom.


Future DLC to Ditch Older Consoles

Owners of PlayStation 3 and XBox consoles will want to take note of the new Dragon Age: Inquisition blog that announces that future DLC for the game will not be available for them. The post walks players through the process of saving games and profiles from these systems in the event players want to import the information to PC or one of the other supported consoles. DLC will continue to be available for XBox One and PlayStation 4.


RUMOR - 'Final' DLC Info Leaked Via Bioware Survey

It appears that a potential leak of information about a forthcoming DLC for Dragon Age: Inquisition has been leaked via a survey sent to game owners. The survey indicates that it is the "final fate" of the Inquisition, it is also said that "you will embark on the last adventure with your team" against the Qunari.


Spoils of the Avvar DLC Released

Dragon Age: Inquisition players should take note of today's release of the Spoils of the Avvar DLC that includes five new Avvar-themed mounts, two sets of armor and some new base Skyhold customization items.


Dragonslayer Multiplayer DLC Released

The latest free multiplayer update for Dragon Age: Inquisition has been released. The DLC, Dragonslayer, brings new maps, dragons to battle, and three new companions including Isabella from Dragon Age 2. In addition, the Black Emporium will enable players to purchase high end gear to become even more epic in the battle for the safety of Thedas.
