Divinity: Original Sin 2 proves that there is still a robust market for cRPGs. In just over four days since release, the game has sold nearly half a million copies, 180,000 of them since release day. In addition, over the weekend, over 85,000 players were online at the same time that caused a bit of stress on the servers.
Eurogamer asked Larian Studios owner Swen Vincke about plans for a console release. He said that the team is focused on getting the first patch out to address issues players have identified. After that, it is possible that planning will begin for a console port of D:OS2.
