On August 1 it’s time to reset the clocks: Albion Online from Sandbox Interactive goes into the Final Beta phase and includes exciting new features and improvements.
The sandbox MMORPG Albion Online of the German developer Sandbox Interactive will end the current beta phase in mid-July. With the start of the Final Beta on August 1, 2016, Albion Online will offer the 150.000 users already playing on its servers a wealth of new features and improvements.
What is Albion Online?
Albion Online is a sandbox MMORPG from Sandbox Interactive, set in the medieval fantasy world of Albion. Whether playing a hardened fighter, a farmer, a merchant or a master craftsman, in the player-driven world every single weapon and every single building is created by the players. Thanks to a “you are what you wear” system free of typical class restrictions, a skilled archer can instantly become a powerful mage, and the players define their own role within the game world. PvE, PvP or guild vs guild battles, every action in the game has meaning as well as consequences. PvP battles in the danger zones of the game world are a “winner takes all” affair. Albion Online is the first game that brings the full PC-experience to tablets.
What does the Final Beta offer?
For the Final Beta of Albion Online, the developers created a completely new and much larger world. As the Final Beta goes online, this new world will consist of three new and exciting biomes (swamp, steppe, mountains). Brave explorers will find a number of different resources and unique creatures that only are only present in a specific biome. In addition, the world is split into safe zones, where the king’s law applies and players are protected by the Royal Expedition Corps, and the lawless Outlands.
Albion Online also receives a reputation system with this new release. Every player action directly affects the player’s reputation. And a bad reputation comes with consequences, like guards keeping outlaw player characters from entering royal cities.
Other new features include the new artifact system, which allows powerful fighters and skilled craftsmen to collaborate on artifact weapons themed after a specific faction, with a unique look and special abilities. The enchantment system has also been revamped, and spells can be switched whenever the player needs to change them. In addition, the guild vs guild system, the item system, the destiny board, the spawning of resources, the mission system and the quick travel system have all been reworked.
To mark the end of the current Beta, there will be a player event on July 17, 2016, before the servers go offline on July 18, 2016 in preparation of the Final Beta release on. August 1, 2016. When the Final Beta of Albion Online goes live, all accounts will be reset to zero, with all Founders getting the perks from their Founder’s Packs, as well as the gold bought through the website credited to their game account.
