Bungie has announced that a new PlayStation 4 / XBox One edition of Destiny will be available on September 20th. Called The Collection, the new edition will include the Rise of Iron expansion and all other available DLC.

Destiny: Rise of Iron will be launching on September 20, 2016 and is now available for preorder. To entice players to pick up a copy from a local or online retailer, Bungie has released a new trailer to show off the black and silver Iron Gjallarwing Sparrow. It's a beautiful thing so be sure to give the video a look below.

During today's live stream, Bungie revealed the next Destiny content expansion for September 20, 2016. Called Rise of Iron, new content will include a new location, a new raid, a new strike, more quests, weapons, gear, competitive multiplayer mode and much more.

It looks like an image for Destiny went up a little early. Polygon is reporting that Rise of Iron is planned for a September 20th launch.

A Reddit user has leaked an image that seems to reveal the name of the next Destiny expansion, Rise of Iron.

Destiny players wanting to get a preview of the next raid coming to the game will want to tune into the Bungie Twitch.tv channel at 11:00 Pacific / 2:00 Eastern to see what's up with the King's Fall raid. Members of the development team will be on hand to give background information about the creation of the raid and the lore behind it.

Bungie has released a new trailer to show off some of the changes players can expect when tomorrow's Destiny update hits live service. Among other things, players can look forward to new challenges rewards and other updates for Guardians.

Many times when a developer leaves one studio for other employment, the parting is amicable, most explicitly saying so. However, in the case of Destiny's now-former Creative Story Lead C.J. Cowan, it may not be so. Cowan announced on his personal Instagram account that he had "decided to part ways with Bungie" and has his status listed as "storyteller for hire" which may indicate that he does not have another position lined up.

The Destiny team will be on hand later today during a live stream event in the Bungie Twitch.tv channel to show off the Sandbox and Crucible updates that will be heading into game on April 12th. During the event, devs will take player questions and show off game play of Destiny's next patch.

Destiny players have a lot to look forward to with the deployment of the April 12th update. To show off some of the great new gear coming in the patch, the Destiny team will be on hand for a live stream event on March 30th at 11:00 am Pacific / 2:00 pm Eastern in the Bungie Twitch.tv channel.

Lead Designer Ryan Paradis and Senior Designer Tim Williams will be on hand later today in a live stream event to talk about PvE features coming to Destiny: The Taken King in the near future. The pair will be on hand in a trio of stream opportunities to talk more about the April update, beginning with today's.

Bungie has released new information about Destiny Update 2.2.0, aka April Update, that will be ready for release on April 16th. The update includes new PvE challenges, Sandbox and Crucible updates, new and updated gear, the Blighted Chalice quest, new Max Light and rewards.
