Destiny 2 is receiving a holiday event of its own, called The Dawning.
Arriving on December 17, the free event brings Eva Levante to the Tower with new recipes. Rewards for the event include a ship-shaped package in addition to a sparrow. You can trade in cookies for gifts and toys. Gear includes an SMG dubbed Cold Front.
In other news, Bungie had to disable an armor mod recently due to its uncanny ability to reduce Super cooldowns to almost nothing. There is no word yet on whether or not the mod will be reintroduced. Season of Dawn has just released on Destiny 2 as well, bringing the following to season pass owners:
- Instantly unlock the Exotic Scout Rifle, Symmetry
- Play the new 6-player activity: The Sundial
- Exotic Quests, Seasonal Armor Sets, and Ornaments
- New Triumphs, Bounties, and Seasonal Lore Books
- Exotic Emote, Ghost, Ornament, and Finisher
- Additional Season Pass rewards to unlock
