According to one credible Destiny 2 Redditor, it appears that Destiny 3 is already starting production. AnonTheNine has written that Destiny 3 has gone into full development with Chris Barrett taking on the Game Director position. The action is being developed with a focus on RPG mechanics and will be "even more hardcore-y than Forsaken".
Other tidbits dropped by AnonTheNine:
- Guardians will use the Darkness
- PvEvP patrol zones will be included with a "fight for territory"
- Europa patrol zone
- design is based on community feedback from Forsaken
- heavy focus on RPG
- potential launch in 2020
Of course, as with all "leaks" and "rumors", take everything with a grain of salt.
