Destiny 2 community member and prolific content creator Patrick "Holtzmann" Casey has been brought to Bungie for a three month period of time as a "gameplay specialist". Casey has been around since the original game came out and has been an integral part of the community since. However, with changes to the game for Destiny 2, the need for in depth analysis of things such as Exotic or Legendary weapons has decreased.
Casey was named to the position after a recent community summit where players were invited to Bungie to provide some advice on the game's lore and story. While nothing more specific has been revealed about his duties, responses to Casey's tweet appear to indicate that his followers are hopeful he'll be able to revive the D2 community.
