Bungie on Season 2 Weapons Kerfuffle: 'This Was on Us. No Excuses.'

Bungie on Season 2 Weapons Kerfuffle: 'This Was on Us. No Excuses.' - Destiny 2 News

The latest This Week at Bungie has been published. In what feels like the umpteenth time for Bungie, they have admitted to causing a furor in the Destiny 2 community. This time the issue involved the addition of Season 2 weapons to Faction Engrams. "It was not made clear beforehand that the new season 2 weapons would be added throughout the events of the Season rather than all at once at the beginning. This was on us. No excuses."

The latest round of Faction Rallies has kicked off in Destiny 2, this time running through January 23rd. Players will be able to pledge loyalty to the faction of choice to earn some pretty sweet looking armor ornaments from the Future War Cult, New Monarchy, or Dead Orbit. The Year Ahead Needs More Meat

The Year Ahead Needs More Meat - Destiny 2 News

Destiny 2 just put out its early gameplan for 2018, mostly about changes to the game's cash shop (the Eververse), XP gains, and other quality of life fixes. It's a good start, but there's one clear thing it's missing - juicy, meaty, content. Even as a casual Destiny 2 player, I can tell there's not enough hints of actual content to come in 2018 to satisfy the player-base, and I'm beginning to fear that Bungie can't catch up to the rabid demand for content.

Gods of Mars Revealed as the Name of the Spring 2018 DLC - Destiny 2 News

Destiny 2 will be receiving a second major DLC in the coming months, but until now, we did not know the name. Called "Gods of Mars", the information leaked via the PlayStation Store earlier this year, though it was quickly buried, with the target release said to be "spring 2018". As the name reminds us, the action will be taking place on Mars, something that has been hinted at in game.

Thoughts on the #RemoveEververse Initiative

Thoughts on the #RemoveEververse Initiative - Destiny 2 News

I've been playing Destiny 2 since launch, but only casually as I've also been reviewing a heap of games across GameSpace and MMORPG. So, when I heard that there was a Winter Event called the Dawning coming to D2, I was ecstatic. It wasn't until after Christmas, this morning in fact, that I woke to find out that such an event was making Destiny 2's playerbase irate once more.

For the Second Time in Two Weeks, Bungie Admits to Development Blunders

For the Second Time in Two Weeks, Bungie Admits to Development Blunders - Destiny 2 News

For the second time in two weeks, Bungie has admitted that it is damaging its reputation with the Destiny 2 community. First it was the squelching of end-game experience gains, now it is the recent issue of locking activities behind a DLC pay wall. The Power Level requirements for Trials of the Nine, Prestige Leviathan, and Prestige Nightfall were raised sufficiently to exclude players without the Curse of Osiris DLC. "These plans", admits Bungie, "aren't working."
