Trion Worlds has announced that over one million accounts have been registered for Defiance. Defiance is a collaborative effort between Trion Worlds and the Syfy Channel.

Defiance players will want to head into the game to begin hunting the nefarious Hellbugs infesting the game world. The event will run for the next three weeks with factions asking for help thinning the herds.

The Defiance website has been updated with a pair of developer blogs. The first announces the Outgun contest that will ultimately see the winner's real life likeness appear in a upcoming episode of Defiance. The second details how player feedback is utilized in development of Defiance.

Trion Worlds' Nathan Richardsson has taken to the Defiance site with a new blog detailing how important player feedback is to the development team when it comes to making "serious improvements" in the game. The blog covers XB360 issues, PC issues, cheating/hacking, items disappearing, PS3 issues with the "big patch" and much more.

In a second developer blog on the Defiance site, Executive Producer Nathan Richardsson writes about improvements that have occurred over the weekend including the stabilization of the XBox server issues. While things are getting better, however, Richardsson said the team is still actively monitoring several key issues and working to resolve them.

Defiance Executive Producer Nathan Richardsson has posted another blog article that acknowledges that game servers are still suffering from lag issues (and more) and also lays out some details on forthcoming DLC plans. Most notably, the team is working on XBox cluster issues, PC server crashes, connectivity and patching, and chat/VOIP issues.
