Defiance 2050 is celebrating its first anniversary and gamigo has a new month-long event for players to check out. The 99 Problems event will launch for PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One simultaneously in all regions. Players will be able to take part in the event to earn daily rewards and take home a high-powered prototype weapon at its end.
In a brief note on the Defiance 2050 site, the community team is informed that development will continue for 2050, though there is no mention of the original Defiance game. The new Gamigo dev team is "working to fully integrate all the former Trion staff into the new organization", a process that is already underway.
Defiance 2050 will be getting a big update today when Trouble in Paradise lands across PC & PS4. New content includes the Hulker Hell Halloween event that "brings a special delivery of frights to Paradise until November 5th". Players will also have the new Grid enemy faction to take on as they meet them in a series of all-new story missions. Players will also have the new weapon skin system to customize their characters even more and the Crusader class to devastate the enemy.
On October 15th, Defiance 2050 will be updated with the Trouble in Paradise content expansion that includes the new Crusader class. In addition, players will find new weapon skins, the Hulker Hell seasonal celebration and a new enemy, The Grid, will be joining the fray.
Trion Worlds has announced that the Crusader will be coming to Defiance 2050 this fall. The Crusader is part of the Ultimate Class Pack that also contains Crusader outfits, tints, along with other classes.

Headstart for Defiance 2050 snuck up on us pretty quickly after its announcement late February followed by closed, then open beta’s in June.
