Circe Screens

Sony Online Entertainment and DC Universe Online devs have sent out a fresh batch of screenshots and a character render of Circe, the arch nemesis of Wonder Woman. Circe is a villainous sorceress that has been plaguing Wonder Woman since her debut in DC Comics in the 40s. She is revealed in these screens fearlessly showing skin and skill. Holy Bat Cave, Batman!

Sometimes you just can't do better than the PR description of things: "This week's batch of screenshots feature new combat including poor Power Girl getting beat down by a player-created biker chick and the Parasite in the Bat Cave, some Amazon action in the Metropolis Subway station, and players doing it Egyptian style in the Temple of Isis (complete with mummies!)." Secret Identies?

In the latest Inside the Studio, the DC Universe Online team answers questions from fans of the official DCUO Facebook page. This time, the team takes on whether or not major structures are destructible, long-range combat, a game-specific explanation of what a physics-based game is and tons more. The subject of secret identities was evaded somewhat but the team promised more on the subject in the coming months.


Combat and Metropolis Fly Through Videos

From the 'better late than never' files: Sony Online Entertainment and the DC Universe Online development team recently released a pair of videos featuring a look at in-game combat and a fly over video for the great city of Metropolis. Folks who have been clamoring for all things DCUO will not want to miss either of these! Check them out at sister site GamerTube.com.


Bring on the Pain

The DC Universe Online team has released a half dozen new screenshots from this past weekend's New York Comic Con. The screens feature player-created villains laying the smackdown on some of DC's biggest heroes. Check them out in our DCUO gallery.


Delayed Until Early 2011

Sony Online Entertainment has revealed that DC Universe Online will be delayed until 'early 2011'. Originally set to release in November 2010, Sony has guaranteed that players who preorder the game prior to November 15th will have access to the beta beginning November 30th. Additionally, players with VIP cards and who have registered on the official site will receive beta access as early as next week.


Sixteen New Screens

Sony Online Entertainment has released sixteen new screenshots from DC Universe Online. This time, the screens feature a look at hero battles in both Gotham and Metropolis. The battle screens show off some great looking effects. Check them all out in our DC Universe Online gallery.


The Man With the Fragile Ego

DC Universe Online devs have sent out eight brand new screenshots of ultra-bad boy Lex Luthor, arch nemesis of Superman. Luthor is out to prove to the world that brains, his brain in particular, are superior to brawn. He's out to get Superman any way he can and if the suit he's wearing in these screens is any indication, he's worked very hard to bring the battle to the Man of Steel.


New Developer Q&A Video

The official DC Universe Online Facebook page has been updated with the latest "Inside the Studio" video where Game Director Chris Cao and Creative Director Jens Andersen take on questions from fans. This time, the pair answer questions about how powers/abilities progress throughout the game, character creation, street clothes vs hero gear, origin stories and more. The video comes in at 12+ minutes and is worth a look!


A Dozen New Screens

Sony Online Entertainment has sent out a dozen new screenshots from DC Universe Online. The screens cover a variety of things from locations, to Iconic play to PvP. Locations include the Ace o'Clubs bar, the Steelworks and Amusement Mile. Check them all out in our DCUO gallery.

Location & Combat Screens

Sony Online Entertainment has released a fresh dozen screenshots from DC Universe Online. The screens feature several in game locations and both PvE and PvP fight screens. Locations shown off include Joker's Fun House, Glen Morgan Square in Metropolis, the Hall of Doom, and even Circe's Lair where players square off against Circe's animal-mutated minions. DC Universe Online promises players the ability to play as and alongside iconic characters from the comics. Iconic not only means well-known but also involves a look.
