When Dauntless is updated this week, players will have a new vendor to visit, a shadowy salesman named the Middleman in Ramsgate. Middleman provides players with up to three new cells per week that can be purchased using aetherdust. This is a new currency obtained by breaking down unwanted cells. The available stock of cells changes weekly.
In addition to trading in cells, Middleman can also fuse two cells together to make a better one, though it can take 24 or more hours to complete, depending on the rarity. The process can, however, be completed more rapidly by using "ace chips" from the game store.
