In a new 'Activity Report' on the official Darkfall Online forums, lead developer, Tasos Flambouras, talks about the new availability for players to level skills offline. Part of the reason Flambouras gives for bringing offline skill leveling to Darkfall is to cut down on the tedious, repetitive tasks that new players encounter when entering the game. By enabling offline skill leveling, new players 'close the gap' faster.
At the recent Hellenic Game Developer's Conference, Darkfall Online lead developer, Tasos Flambouras, made a few statements during a presentation that caused a few eyebrows to be raised in wonderment. In a new post on the Darkfall forums, Flambouras clarifies his statements a bit and gives a bit of a peek in to what lies ahead in terms of Darkfall, a new expansion and the possibility of Darkfall 2.
Darkfall Online's lead developer, Tasos Flambouras, has posted on the official forums that the expansion will be delayed slightly to Tuesday, October 5th. The team discovered some systems that need to be retested to avoid problems when the expansion officially launches.
Earlier this week, MMORPG.com's own Paragus revealed a community-based Darkfall developer Q&A on his blog, Paragus Rants. As with many things Darkfall, flames erupted on the official forums with fans claiming the development team was being evasive in their answers and may have avoided some topics completely. The Darkfall community liason, Laenih, has created a new post on the official forums. The thread covers the upcoming changes to the monster AI. Monsters in Agon have the same skills available to them that players have but there are big changes in store. Monsters will be given new skills that are unique to their type.
Community Liason Resfelm has started a new thread on the official Darkfall Online forums about two new 'sandbox' features to be implemented into the game later this summer: The Fun Hulk and Use Flags.

Aventurine's Tasos Flambouras has announced via the official Darkfall forums that the development team will be kicking off a new initiative to really step things up on community relations with the players. The idea here is to better respond to feedback and provide insight on a number of players' concerns with the game. Tasos also announced that old players will be invited back to the game on April 26th in order to experience the changes the team has made to the game in their absence.
The update including the recently announced Teleportation Chambers and Deployable Strongboxes features is now live.
