Darkfall: Rise of Agon received a new patch over the weekend, with a few updates and graphical tweaks.
In case you missed it, the latest patch notes for Rise of Agon's Akathar update introduced several changes for PvP, glyphs, and more.
The next Darkfall: Rise of Agon update is going to include the full release of the "freemium" edition of the game with some changes due to player feedback. For instance, the reduction in skill progression speed has been eliminated for free players and much more. In addition, players will find that the in-game browser has been overhauled, the dye system will be included and several tweaks have been made to armor and combat.
Earlier this week, Darkfall: Rise of Agon developers soft launched a "freemium" version of the game "to test the limitations of the free accounts to tweak any changes" prior to a more extensive launch that will come complete with advertisements, a launch video and more. The post provides a detailed look at the free and premium features that are being tweaked. These include the speed of crafting and combat skills, speed of meditation and many others.
The Darkfall: Rise of Agon site has been updated with the cool news that the dev team is hard at work on an expansion called Embers of War. The expansion was born out of a laundry list of new features and enhancement the team was working on that they felt would be best deployed in a singular update rather than "piecemeal" over months.
Starting at 12:00 pm Pacific / 3:00 pm Eastern, Darkfall: Rise of Agon players will be able to take part in its own version of battle royale. This is a free-for-all event with all players starting with no gear or items. As ever, the search then begins for weapons, armor, reagents and more. The Darkfall: Rise of Agon site has a brief note from the Big Picture Games development team that thanks players for their feedback over the past few months since the game's release. Using that feedback, the new direction moving forward will be focused on "removing tedium, grinds and power gaps to make Darkfall: Rise of Agon truly accessible to anyone".

The final Darkfall: Rise of Agon patch has been deployed prior to its May 5th release. The update most notably features the first implementation of an anti-cheat / hack tool called EasyAntiCheat. The team has plans to update and optimize the software throughout DF:RoA's development.
