More About Capturing & Taming Mounts -

Snail Games has sent out a bit more information about how Dark & Light creatures can be captured and tamed. Over forty creatures can be captured and tamed, from the familiar to the exotic. Players can locate, capture and tame boar, elk, unicorns, dragons and others that are as yet unrevealed.

To capture a new creature, players will need to invest time, talent and resources.

  • harpoons are needed to tie the beast to the ground
  • a good aim is required
  • once captured, a feeding trough and food will need to be provided to calm them and domesticate them over time
  • larger creatures will take more than one person to capture but uses a different approach (not detailed yet)
  • ground, flying and aquatic mounts will be available

Creatures can also be hunted for the elemental magic they posses, an essential component to survival.

Elemental magic is essential to survival in Dark and Light, and can be obtained from hunting certain special creatures. Creatures found in the snowcapped mountains contain ice elemental magic, which can be harnessed for a multitude of uses - it can even help to keep perishable food fresh. Fiery creatures can impart elemental magic to help forge advanced weapons and provide protection from the cold. Players who hunt magical creatures will gain a command of a wide range of magical abilities which will be indispensable to their journey through Dark and Light’s world.

Keep an eye on the Dark & Light site for more information.
