The Dark Age of Camelot site has been updated with a long post to lay out all details about the game's 16th anniversary celebration. Players are invited to "Come Back to Camelot" for 20 days of free game time all through the month of October. If your account has been inactive for 60+ days and you left in good standing, you are eligible for the promotion.
In addition, to celebrate the anniversary, a number of events are ongoing:
- a special 1v1 tournament will be held to "find out who truly is the best soloer in DAoC.
- RvR daily quests are ongoing to be "handsomely rewarded".
- the annual Halloween event returns with the Mournful King instance
- A Dragon's Curse campaign continues with Chapter 8 coming out later this month
- Traveling Merchants will be roaming about
- the new Mithril Shop is open for business and selling microtransaction items such as realm-specific mounts and more
