The Dark Age of Camelot site has been updated with a lengthy development update that centers on some of the forthcoming features and reveals that the release date for the free to play version of the game has been pushed back to early 2019. Resources will be shifted to this version once the v1.125 update has been released.
For Dark Age of Camelot players who love the struggles in the Realm vs Realm system, the team has good news: More frequent RvR experiences will be coming that combine both existing events and the addition of new ones. There are no explicit details, though the team did say that there will be in-game leaderboards with events lasting 1-2 weeks "on a rotating schedule that would incentivize various aspects of the game (most relating to RvR)".
The Dark Age of Camelot site has been updated with a new producer's letter that takes a retrospective look back at 2017 and a peek ahead at 2018. Most notably, the team has announced "Endless Conquest", a new account type that will offer the game for free through level 50. Endless Conquest is expected to make its debut in Fall 2018.
Dark Age of Camelot players can now enjoy some holiday cheer thanks to the return of the annual Midwinter Festival. Players will be able to find Battleground Presents and enjoy 50% bonuses to XP, RP and BP. Additionally, Traveling Merchants are back. For those looking forward to the Frozen Cavern instance, you'll have to wait a bit longer as it will not be coming back until a separate event to be held in January.

Players are invited to "Come Back to Camelot" for 20 days of free game time all through the month of October. If your account has been inactive for 60+ days and you left in good standing, you are eligible for the promotion.

Players taking him down will receive the Gem of the Harbinger. The Rites of Spring quest is available in several locations, depending on faction alignment.
