Zombie Surprise & the Art of Subsistence

Zombie Surprise & the Art of Subsistence -

The Crowfall site has been updated with an interesting new blog post that discusses how players will find subsistence in the world to be a real thing. Exertion in any form will cause a decay in the player's "food pool", some more than others and with an in-game effect on their Crow's vessel:

  • Over 70% Everything is normal as the character feels satiated
  • Less than 70% - natural Health and Mana regeneration turn off
  • Less than 30% - Stamina regeneration turns off and the player can no longer Sprint
  • Less than 10% - The player takes damage every 5 seconds until they hit 20% Health. This won’t kill you, but you will be pretty much stuck at 20% Health.

Regenerating the food pool comes by way of eating. Food can be dropped by zombies and hellcats in Hunger Dome and found inside weapon racks in Siege Perilous. Eating and how much if replenishes is dependent on Subsistence -- lesser food quality equates to a lesser restoration of the food pool.

Zombie Surprise....

There are many more details revealed in the post, so head on over to the Crowfall site to learn more.

Thanks, Leiloni!
