Recent Corepunk AMA Reveals Detail on Housing, Mounts, Professions, More

On the back of a closed beta targeting December, the Producer and Lead Game Designer for upcoming Corepunk hosted an AMA on Reddit earlier touching on player housing, map size, and more.

First off, yes, there are plans for player housing, but not until after release. Additionally, regarding map size, they “can’t tell yet.” You can also get different colors for armors and swords with respect to dyeing them through in-game activities.

Additionally, high ground will give you an advantage in that you’ll be able to see players on lower ground. Crucially, they will not be able to see you. There won’t be shifting queueing commands like StarCraft. The music is looking for that synthwave feel, citing Daft Punk and heavy metal as inspirations.

You’ll be able to rebind the camera to control it with non-WASD keys. Regarding difficulty, the team is targeting difficult similar to World of Warcraft. Mini-games aren’t necessarily the focus of the team right now, as they’re currently looking at core features.

Mounts will require certain levels and in-game gold to unlock. Additionally, there will be four crafting professions – weaponsmith, constructor, chemist, and mystic. There will also be four gathering professions – skinner, gatherer, miner, lumberjack.
