Eating to Live, Living to Eat - The Importance of Food -

The Conan Exiles blog has been updated with a new blog post that examines the most importance of keeping well fed. As a survival game, the need for food cannot be stressed enough. In addition to staving off things like death from starvation, keeping well-fed also provides buffs that can assist players in a number of ways.

For instance, if you're off to frozen environs, it's a good idea to eat desert chili and to drink firewater to keep the cold at bay. Raiding is enhanced with exotic meat feasts and more that allow you to heal over time.

But eating is secondary to cooking, of course, so it also behooves an intrepid adventurer to make sure they, or someone they know, is up to the task of fine cuisine. You'll need an entire kitchen for your stove, fluid press, dryer, grinder and a fermentation barrel. It's not just throwing stuff in a pan, you know.

You can find many specialist cooking recipes in NPC villages, like with the Darfari in the south or the Forgotten Tribe of Cimmerians in the north. Other recipes can be found in ancient ruins or other abandoned places. Keep and eye out for these books as they may contain the recipes for your new favorite meal in Conan Exiles!

There are recipe books like this for beverages as well, which teach you to make drinks like absinthe and resinwine. Keep exploring the world and you will be expanding your recipe list as you play.

Check out the full blog post on the Conan Exiles site.
