Greetings, adventurers! Welcome back to another installment of Eorzea Reborn.
This week, we're going to try and sum up the most recent Letter from the Producer LIVE session, which is now on its 28th iteration.
A relatively straightforward undertaking, and one helped by translations from the FFXIV community. The video below – which is in Japanese – is around 3 hours long.
Gamer Escape has a rather robust translation going for the entirety of the Live Letter, but if you'd like a condensed version with all the stuff that you can expect in the coming patches, I've got the main announcements below, divided into what to expect for patches 3.25, 3.3, and 3.4.
First off, Patch 3.25 is scheduled for the 29th (it's the 28th as I'm writing this) so some of these should be going live.
The first thing to expect from Patch 3.25 is the arrival of the next Anima Weapon Phase. There will also be a significant update to Chocobo Racing and increased Manderville Gold Saucer Points (MGP) in Challenge Log activities.
Two weeks after Patch 3.25 will be the arrival of Season 1 of The Feast PVP battle mode.
Moving into Patch 3.3, you can expect another Anima Weapon phase to be introduced.
Also slated for this patch are improvements to the equipping process, including a reported "Best Equipment" auto-equip setup. There are also plans to have the ability to save and set up 3 sets of HUD layout patterns for 3.3.
Raiders, meanwhile will enjoy a Raid finder for the newest raid content, specifically, with the next Void Ark raid scheduled for 3.3 as well.
Patch 3.3 will also introduce new gathering gear and an item level cap increase for crafters. There is also a possibility of Grade V materia coming for Disciples of the Hand to obtain and use in this patch.
New Grand Company items will be introduced in Patch 3.3, as will new mounts, and the a tweak to allow the Fenrir mount to fly.
Regarding Patch 3.4, look forward to getting the first new glamor for Egis in 3.4. This patch will also introduce new Red Scrip gear for crafters.
New Scholasticate Quests will also be introduced in Patch 3.4
Controller-loving players will also enjoy this latest bit of news: a Double-Cross hotbar feature is slated to come in 3.4
In the "reported but not confirmed department" we have conflicting translations pointing to a new Grand Company Rank in 3.4, though it has been said that new NPC Grand Company platoons will be coming in 3.4
Slated for 3.4 or 4.0, meanwhile, is a large-scale change to Parry to make it comparable to the Determination statistic.
Finally, in the "most important update" department... New Hildibrand quests are expected to come in every major patch! Good job, Square Enix! Good job!
Anyway, that's all the time I have for you today. Look forward to more news and discussion in the next installment of Eorzea Reborn. Till next time! Cheers!
