It’s a pretty weird and unsettling time in this world of ours right now. With many of us hunkering down at home, things can get downright boring at times. Fortunately, if you’re someone who enjoys videogames, you likely have a backlog of games to play through or even some new titles to play in the coming days and weeks.
These are some of the titles I’m playing this month.

Street Fighter V
I’ve been playing Street Fighter on and off since I was a kid, but I’ve never been good at the game. Even when I try and put the time into it as I did with Street Fighter IV. Still, every once in a while I get the crazy idea that it’ll finally click if I give it another try. So here I am, once again, trying to make it happen in Street Fighter V. I can hang in Super Bronze, but I’m pretty hardstuck there right now. We’ll see how it goes.
Sid Meier’s Civilization VI
The balance patch I was anticipating last month turned out to be somewhat of a dud. It made a difference for a select few civs, but didn’t impact too much for me. I have been enjoying a mod called City Lights lately, however. It introduces some significant and well thought out changes that allow you to customize your cities to be more rural or urban leaning and it’s added a whole new level of city planning to the game for me.
League of Legends: Wild Rift
I’ve fallen off of this a bit, but I still get in a match here and there. The short matches are great for the sort of sporadic way I approach playing this game. Definitely not a way I could play desktop League. 40 minute matches are just no good for me.
Mass Effect: Legendary Edition
Can I handle the feels all over again? I’m not sure, but the remaster is looking pretty good, especially the changes made to the original Mass Effect. I’m pretty excited to dig into the series all over again. Hopefully the Mako doesn’t drive me insane.
Resident Evil Village
I love most of the Resident Evil games, but I never got into 7. Village (RE8) looks crazy awesome, though. So I may try to play through 7 and 8 this month before I dive into what will probably a months long journey replaying through the Mass Effect trilogy.
