Chronicles of Elyria is the first MMORPG where your character ages and dies, encouraging you to think beyond your character to their role in a larger story. Fearless in its design, it embraces a character's ability to impact other characters. A closed economy, finite resources, non-repeatable quests, and a fully destructible environment means the world is experienced differently for every character. City of Titans / 2016 / Alpha or Beta
City of Titans is an upcoming Superhero MMORPG from Missing Worlds Media. Fully funded on Kickstarter, the project aims to be the spiritual successor to City of Heroes/Villains. The game is being built in Unreal Engine 4, and is expected to have an alpha or beta phase sometime in 2016.
Crowfall / Q4 2016 / Launch (or Late Beta)
Crowfall is a fantasy MMORPG in development from ArtCraft. The game focuses on political alliances, as well as feudal conquest. Expected to follow ArtCraft's professed desire to create MMORPGs that promote risk taking, player skill, and competition. Crowfall players are expected to compete with one another, with the chance to take the throne in the offering.
Divergence Online / Q3 2016 / Launch (Early Access in January)
Divergence Online is an upcoming third person shooter that mixes the best elements of an MMORPG and a TPS. The sci-fi themed game, under development by Stainglass Llama studios, will feature four races, including Humans and even AI, who each have their own history and destiny. Set to feature various locations as well as mysterious factions, DO is now in early access on Steam.
Escape from Tarkov / 2016 / Beta
Escape from Tarkov is an MMO shooter from Battlestate Games. In the game, events take place in a realistic setting in the Russian city of Tarkov. Main characters work for two private military companies locked in bloody conflict on the streets of the settlement surrounded by UN forces and Russian Military. Players need to find a way out of the isolated Tarkov, survive the deadly hazards and unearth all mysteries of the city.
